Ok, so you want to start growing your own fruit and veg but you don't know where to start. Congratulations, you have stumbled upon a wealth of information that will eventually help you to achieve outstanding results even if you are a beginner!
Every fortnight, you will find details of a selected fruit or vegetable, details that will include vailable varieties, special requirements and of course growing techniques.
This site will be continually added to over the coming months to give you a guide to growing all your favourite fruit and vegetables from the simple to the exotic (well maybe just a little bit different!)
This is how it will work:-
Each fortnight, I will add a food item that most of you should be able to grow either in your greenhouse, coldframe, garden or allotment by following the steps given in each report.
Throughout each new installment you will see a standard set of symbols that will give you a guide as to when the various stages of growth should occur and what you should do at each stage.
You will see the symbols in the top right hand corner of each page that will act as a quick reference guide for you. By following these and the detailed steps you will begin to understand the different stages involved in growing your own crops.

Then it's up to you, time to get your hands dirty!
You will be able to regularly check back to the website or print out the details to check on your next step to ensure a good harvest.
Also included will be a list of pests and desieses that are common to the crop, along with methods to reduce the risk of attack.
Every now and then, a special feature will appear such as a tasty recipe or something similar to help you enjoy the benefits of your hard work.
Due to the different types of fruit and vegetables that are available, it will be impossible to cover all the crops that everyone wants straight away.
This is where you come in, once inside the members area you will be able to contact me with your suggestion for the next feature. Each fortnight I will compile the guide based on the most popular item that you have chosen.
Over time the site will grow and grow into a vast source of knowledge that you will be able to refere back to time and time again.
